IFFK should be recognized as the best film festival in India says Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan.  Minister opined this at the inaugural ceremony of the Delegate Cell of 19th International Film Festival of Kerala. ‘We have an eminent panel of jury members this year and all of us should take part in the fest without any political differentiation and also the presence and leadership of distinguished personalities like Adoor Gopalakrishnan will always add to our strength’. Since the government is facing slight financial constrains some efforts will be made to reduce the expenditure on these festival, the fund saved through such measures will definitely be diverted   to the meaningful causes   in the film industry in the state added Thiruvanchoor in his inaugural address of the delegate cell.
After the inaugural speech, Thiruvanchoor handed over the first delegate pass and kit to MA Baby, MLA. Chalachitra Academy Chairman, T Rajeev Nath made the welcome address and the presence of renowned filmmaker and Festival Advisory Committee Chairman Adoor Gopalakrishnan added to the prominence of the event. Adoor opined that it has been a great opportunity to be a part of the festival and added that best effort will be made to enhance the richness and color of the fest and also wished his best regards for the success of the 19th edition if the festival.
MA Baby in his address responded to ministers statement on cost cutting measures, he pointed such measures should be implement not only to the cultural sector but other sectors and departments as well he also stated that IFFK has already made its signature as the pride of Kerala. GV Hari, Delegate Cell Committee Chairman expressed the vote of thanks for the immense participation of all dignitaries and delegates for the ceremony. Federation of Film Society Secretary, V K Joseph and Department of Cultural Affairs Secretary Rani George, IAS also attended the function.
Delegate cell comprises of 10 counters for delegates, along with an official counter and an information counter which is functioning in the premises of Tagore Theatre, Vazuthacaud from 8 December 2014 to 14 December 2014. The Delegates can collect their respective pass and kit comprising of a handbook and a film schedule on these days from 9 am to 7 pm.
